The 2027 Fun Run is our last fundraiser of the year.  The goal of this week long FUNDRAISER is to encourage students love of physical activity in a fun and competitive environment by presenting exercise challenges with a big run at the end, with prizes based on both laps ran and funds raised.  A model is available for use by volunteers that provides information for everything needed for a successful fundraiser, and past leads are available to assist leads and committee volunteers every step of the way.  Recommend 1-3 Committee members, so phone a friend and work on this together!  Your child will pridefully tell their friends, 'THAT'S MY MOM/ DAD/ GRANDFATHER/ GREAT AUNT, and I can't wait to win all the cool prizes they got for the winners!"

Bingo Night is our BIGGEST event of the year! The goal of this event is to bring our Marshall community together for a day fun while raising some funds for end of year activities.  In the past classrooms have donated baskets to raffle while the PTO provides amazing Golden baskets (Switch consoles, book series, electric scooters) and even the Scouts get involved with pizza concessions but we invite you to come make it something new.  Recommend 2-3 volunteers, so phone a friend and work on this together!

Winter Wonderland is beloved by the Marshall family.  The goal of this event is to bring our Marshall community together for a day fun!  In the past we have had hot chocolate, pictures with Marshall the Eagle, and a gift shop for our littles to do their holiday shopping but we invite you to come make it something new.  Recommend 1-2 volunteers, so phone a friend and work on this together!

Interested in knowing the club schedule before everyone else and getting your child's FIRST CHOICE club pick?  You will work with the teacher liaison to identify the semesters club offerings, draft the documentation, input into our platform (Sawyer), print flyers and communicate with families in a timely manner via newsletter, social media and other channels, and manage communications from families prior, during and post open enrollment.  More committee members means less work for one individual, so find some teammates and make this your baby!  

Recommended # of volunteers:  2-5

Time Commitment:  Anticipated 1-2 hours a week for 4-5 weeks, depending on number of volunteers

Incentive: Sawyer credit up to $35, and 1 club advance sign up

2027 Teacher Appreciation Week Committee

May 1-7 is 2027's Teacher Appreciation Week.  We love the Marshall Elementary Staff and when given the opportunity to show them, we want to show out!  Pick one day and plan something big or small utilizing Marshall resources (like setting up a breakfast spread) or community sponsors (like Nothing Bundt Cake free cake coupons for everyone!)  Don't worry, if you don't have any ideas, the Board through the power of ChatGPT can provide options for you to consider and select from.

Recommended # of volunteers:  4

Time Commitment:  1-5 hours in advance, 30 minutes - 4 hours day of

Incentive:  Knowing your child's school network is cared for!

The Talent Show is a school sponsored and run event, supported by the PTO. The goal of this event is to bring our Marshall students together and show off their stuff!  The staff lead needs one PTO member to serve as support for managing social posts, coordinate potential raffle prizes, and day of support.

Time Commitment:  Date TBD, approximately 3-5 hours prior to event, 2-3 hours day of.

Do you work from home and miss the fast paced hum of a copier?  Be the one to print the 650 flyers for students to take home the week before a scheduled Spirit Night, then stuff into each teachers mailbox.  You'll be provided a class count and tried and true, efficient process that will make it go by in a breeze.

Looking for a small job with a big impact?  Into creating cool designs, either with your own creativity or with ChatGPT....or being given cool designs by someone who knows how to use ChatGPT??  This job is perfect.  You coordinate with the PTO's local Spirit Wear vendor for 2-3 annual online storefront offerings by providing the PTO Executive Board your suggested product listings and designs, and ensuring timely communication to the Marshall community via newsletter, social media and other outlets. 

Recommended # of volunteers:  1

Time Commitment:  Anticipated 30-60 minute a week for 3-4 weeks, twice a school year (August, December)
